CT Scan
CT is generally a relatively quick procedure that uses x-ray beams to create computer-generated image of soft tissue structures, such as tumors and internal organs, and air cavities (sinuses, lungs). It also has advantages in skeletal and neurological imaging.
MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one form of imaging modality used by physicians to look inside the human body to obtain clinically useful diagnostic information. Incorporating an advanced technology, MRI produces images of the anatomy without the use of radiation required with other imaging modalities such as x-ray and CT scanning.
DEXA
Just as in a common X-ray, a bone density scan is a painless medical test that physicians use for the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions. It involves exposing the part of the body being examined to a small amount of ionizing radiation to form pictures of the body.
X-RAY
An x-ray is a medical test that physicians use to diagnosis and treat their patient’s medical conditions. X -ray is also used to diagnose various conditions of the lungs including pneumonia, tumors and changes of heart failure.
Digital Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses sound waves to provide information about internal organs and soft tissue, such as the heart, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys and bladder. Since ultrasound uses sound waves and their echoes, rather than x-rays, to view internal anatomy, the patient is not exposed to radiation
Digital Mammography
Mammography, also called full-field digital mammography (FFDM), is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system to examine breasts. A mammography exam, called a mammogram, is used to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases in women.
CT Arthrogram
An Arthrogram is a diagnostic study of the joint structures within the body by injection of x-ray contrast (dye). As the dye disperses, the radiologist documents whether the dye is contained or is leaking, which indicates the stability and integrity of the joint and reveals cartilage tears and other injuries.
CT Angiography
Coronary artery CT Angiography (CTA) is a special type of x-ray examination used to visualize blood flow in the heart vessels. Patients who have this test will have a small intravenous (I.V.) catheter placed in their arm and will receive an iodine-containing contrast dye to help ensure the best images possible of the coronary arteries.
